Terms of Service

The terms on which you may use TalentHub. By creating an account you agree to them.

Last updated — · Version draft

The short version. This is here so the important parts reach everybody. It is a summary for orientation and is not part of the agreement — the numbered sections below are what you are agreeing to.

  • Nobody may ever charge you to apply for work. Not TalentHub, not an employer, not anyone who says they represent us. If someone asks, do not pay them.
  • Verified means we checked an identity document. It does not mean we vouch for anyone's work, honesty or safety.
  • TalentHub introduces people. It does not employ them or supervise their work. Whatever you agree with another member is between the two of you.
  • Be truthful. Use your real identity and describe yourself accurately.
  • You can leave at any time and delete your account from your dashboard.

TalentHub is operated by Jenkins Michaels Limited (RC 1518112), a company registered in Nigeria. These terms are an agreement between you and Jenkins Michaels Limited. If you do not accept them, do not use TalentHub.

1 · What TalentHub is

TalentHub is a platform that introduces people looking for work to people looking to hire. Artisans, professionals, employers, individuals and entrepreneurs create profiles, post opportunities and find one another.

That is the whole of what we do. TalentHub is not an employer, not a recruitment agency, and not a party to any arrangement you reach with another member. We do not select, supervise, direct, train or pay anyone you find here, and we do not carry out the work.

2 · Who may use TalentHub

You may use TalentHub if you can enter into a binding agreement under Nigerian law, and you use it for genuine work purposes.

To be confirmed — Client and Counsel The minimum age for an account, and what happens if we learn a member is below it. TalentHub currently applies no age check at registration. This needs a stated position before launch, and it is the same open item as section 12 of the Privacy Policy.

You may not use TalentHub if we have previously closed your account, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

3 · Your account

You must give accurate information when you register, and keep it up to date. You are responsible for what happens on your account, so keep your password to yourself and do not let anyone else use it.

One person, one account. You may hold more than one role on a single account — an artisan may also be an employer — but you may not create a second account for yourself, and you may not create an account for somebody else.

Tell us immediately if you believe somebody else has gained access to your account.

4 · What verification means — and what it does not

Before a member becomes publicly visible on TalentHub, we ask them for a photograph of a government-issued identity document and a live photograph of themselves holding it. A member of our staff compares the two.

A verified badge means one thing: that this member submitted an identity document and a live photograph, and that TalentHub reviewed them and was satisfied the two matched.

It does not mean any of the following. It is not a statement that a member is skilled, competent, honest, insured, licensed or safe. It is not a reference, a recommendation or a guarantee. It is not a check of their criminal record, their qualifications, their trade licences or their work history. We do not carry out any of those checks.

You must still take the ordinary care you would take with anyone you had not met before. Ask for references. Ask to see qualifications and licences where the work requires them. Meet in a safe place. Agree terms in writing before work begins.

Verification is a human judgement made from two photographs, and it can be wrong. It reduces the risk of somebody using a false identity. It does not remove that risk, and we do not claim that it does.

5 · Nobody may charge you to apply for work

TalentHub does not charge anyone to join, to be verified, or to apply for work. No employer, no member and no person representing TalentHub is permitted to ask you for a fee, a deposit, or a “registration charge” in order to consider you for work, place you in a job, or advance your application.

If anyone asks you to pay, do not pay them, and tell us. You can check whether someone genuinely represents TalentHub at Check a Partner.

Asking a member for such a payment is a serious breach of these terms and we will close the account of anyone who does it.

Members may choose to pay Jenkins Michaels Limited for an optional membership plan. That is a separate matter, it is paid to us directly, and it is described in section 6.

6 · Membership and payment

Using TalentHub is free. Optional paid membership plans give access to additional features, and the current prices are shown on our pricing page.

Every member is free until 31st December 2026. After that date, paid plans begin for members who choose one. Nobody is charged automatically and nothing is taken from you without your choosing it.

Payment is by bank transfer to Jenkins Michaels Limited, using the reference we give you. Your membership begins once we have matched your transfer against our bank statement, which is done by a person and is not immediate. Uploading a receipt is a convenience for matching; it is not itself proof of payment and does not start your membership.

To be confirmed — Client and Counsel Refund and cancellation position. Whether membership renews, and how. What happens to an unexpired membership if an account is closed by the member, or suspended by TalentHub. How price changes are notified and when they take effect.

7 · Rules of use

You agree that you will not:

  • Give false information about yourself, your skills, your qualifications or your business
  • Use somebody else's identity, identity document or photographs
  • Create an account for another person, or let another person use yours
  • Ask any member for payment in order to consider, place or advance them for work
  • Post a job, an opportunity or a service that is not genuine
  • Claim to represent TalentHub or Jenkins Michaels Limited when you do not
  • Harass, threaten, defraud or discriminate against any member
  • Post anything unlawful, or anything you do not have the right to post
  • Collect other members' information for any purpose other than genuinely engaging them
  • Attempt to interfere with, circumvent or gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform

8 · What you post

What you post stays yours. Your profile, your photographs, your job postings and everything else you add belong to you.

By posting it, you give us permission to display it on TalentHub for the purpose of running the platform — showing your profile to people searching, showing your job to candidates, and so on. That permission ends when you remove the content or close your account, except where section 9 applies.

You are responsible for what you post. Only post photographs and information you have the right to use.

To be confirmed — Counsel The precise scope of the licence granted to Jenkins Michaels Limited, and whether it extends to promotional use of member content outside the platform.

9 · Reviews

Members may review one another after work is completed. A review must be honest and describe your own genuine experience.

Reviews written about you are kept even if you close your account. A review is a record of a completed piece of work and belongs to the person who wrote it as much as to you, so it does not leave with you.

We may hide a review that breaks these terms. We will never change what a reviewer wrote, and we will never alter the rating they gave.

10 · Growth Partners

Jenkins Michaels Limited appoints some individuals as Growth Partners to introduce new members to TalentHub. Every one of them is listed publicly at Check a Partner.

A Growth Partner is an independent person, not an employee of Jenkins Michaels Limited. They cannot enter into any agreement on our behalf, make any promise about TalentHub, or bind us in any way. They cannot influence verification, ranking or any hiring decision, and they cannot promise you work.

A Growth Partner may never ask you for money. If someone does, they are not acting for TalentHub — whether or not their name appears on our list — and you should tell us.

11 · Agreements between members

Any agreement you reach with another member is between the two of you. TalentHub is not a party to it, does not guarantee it, and takes no responsibility for whether either of you keeps to it.

We do not guarantee that you will find work, find a worker, or receive any enquiry at all. We do not guarantee that any member is who they say they are beyond what section 4 describes, that work will be carried out to any standard, or that anyone will be paid.

Agree what is to be done, when, and for how much — in writing — before work begins. Do not send money to anyone you have not satisfied yourself about.

If something goes wrong between you and another member, we may help by providing what our records show. We cannot resolve the dispute for you, and we are not responsible for the outcome.

12 · Suspension and closure

You may close your account at any time from your dashboard. What happens to your information afterwards is described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Where we do, we will tell the member the reason.

Some things will lead to immediate closure without warning: asking a member for payment in exchange for work, using another person's identity, and any conduct that puts another member at risk.

To be confirmed — Client and Counsel Whether a member may appeal a suspension, to whom, and within what period. This is currently undefined, and it is the same open item as the escalation route for a disputed verification decision.

13 · Our responsibility

We work to keep TalentHub running and accurate, but we do not promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of faults.

To be confirmed — Counsel The limitation of liability, the exclusions, any financial cap, and the indemnity given by members. This is the section that most requires legal drafting and MD-DRIVE has deliberately written none of it. Counsel's attention is drawn to sections 4, 5, 10 and 11, which are the factual foundations this clause has to rest on.

14 · Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. If we do, we will update the date at the top of this page, and where a change materially affects you we will tell you.

To be confirmed — Counsel and Client How members are notified, how much notice is given, and whether continued use amounts to acceptance.

15 · Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

To be confirmed — Counsel Jurisdiction, and whether any dispute resolution step — mediation or arbitration — is required before proceedings.

16 · Contact us

These terms are between you and Jenkins Michaels Limited (RC 1518112).

To be confirmed — Client Registered office address and the contact address for notices under these terms.
